FREE Vision Screening (and Glasses)
On September 22, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, we will host a clinic designed to help identify adults in need of corrective eyewear and to screen for eye health concerns such as glaucoma, cataracts, and other vision-related conditions. Thanks to the continued partnership of Better Vision Better Hope, and the success of our monthly resident clinics and previous community events, we anticipate having the capacity to serve up to 150 individuals. (50 more than our last two clinics!) We would love to extend this opportunity to individuals within your case management load who would benefit from improved vision care. Because this clinic is by appointment only, we are asking community partners to assist in identifying and scheduling clients. ALL APPOINTMNTS WILL BE BOOKED THROUGH YOU, DRM will not coordinate appointments for individuals directly. As the subject highlights - this clinic is completely FREE. Any client who requires prescription eyeglasses will be able to select a pair at no cost. Once glasses are ready, we will schedule a designated pick-up day for distribution. Please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to reserve appointment slots for your organization. We can reserve up to 15 appointments at a time per organization. Names of clients are due 9/18/2026. Additional slots would be open 9/1/2026. We are grateful for the strong collaboration that makes these clinics possible and are excited to continue expanding access to vision care in our community. The POC at DRM initially just needs numbers of slots you would like to reserve. As the time gets closer he will contact you with dates and time slots for you to fill in your names.
